Coastal bungalow enjoys a decade of low carbon heating

A four-bedroom bungalow on the Norfolk coast has enjoyed almost a decade of low carbon heating thanks to a heat pump installed by Finn Geotherm.

When David Scott moved into his home in Hemsby, the Dimplex A16 air source heat pump had already been installed for the previous owners by Finn Geotherm. Originally fitted in 2015, the air source heat pump provides all the heating and hot water for the property.

David Scott said:

“Prior to moving into the bungalow, I hadn’t had any experience with heat pumps – all other homes I’d lived in were either oil or gas heating. Getting to grips with the new heating system was easy though. You simply leave it to run and there’s no need to set any timers or adjust the settings.”

Having now enjoyed several years in the bungalow, David has been pleased by the heat pump’s performance to date. He sums up: “Air source easily manages to keep us nice and warm during the winter and there is always enough hot water. It does exactly what we need it to do without any hassles.”

CO2 savings:Since its installation in 2015, the heat pump at David’s home has saved approximately 55.96 tonnes of CO2.
