Dimplex EC-Eau Smart cylinder

Dimplex’s EC-Eau Smart range of cylinders are designed specifically to work with A Class heat pumps to provide an efficient and environmentally friendly way of supplying domestic hot water.

Employing a large surface area heat exchanger, EC-Eau heat pump cylinders maximise the transfer of heat generated from renewable energy to the stored water, optimising heat pump efficiency and reducing running costs. Each cylinder combines a 40 litre buffer with a range of hot water storage capacities from 125 to 246 litres. In addition Dimplex provides a slim line 180 litre model with a 40L buffer.

The inner vessel is manufactured from premium grade Duplex stainless steel which is lightweight yet ultra high strength and stress/corrosion resistant, ensuring long cylinder life. Insulation is provided by 60mm of CFC/HCFC free injected foam insulation that exceeds Central Heating Systems Specifications (CHeSS) best practice standards for low heat loss and heat recovery and minimises heat loss and energy consumption. Surface mounted thermostats and sensors permit easy installation and maintenance/replacement. Each cylinder is supplied with all the necessary safety equipment required by governing legislation.

Each cylinder includes an on-board pre-wired water module controller and integrated heating system hydraulics with optimally sized, high surface area heat exchangers. The corrugated coil construction maximises surface area while maintaining high usable volume. Whilst the heat pump design provides for normal hot water heating to be done from the air source module, the cylinder still incorporates an electric immersion for sterilisation and back up heating.

The cylinders are designed to remain smart in appearance as well as nature. Each has a tough, easy to clean outer casing – made from 100% recycled materials – which is hard wearing, flexible and damage resistant, ensuring the EC-Eau range continues to look as good as it performs.
